- I know there are a few out there who had surgery about the same time as I did (June 2010). Are your incision sites suddenly itching like crazy?!?!? Mine are. Soooooo annoying!
- I was all ready to buy myself some Spanx (for Chicago, of course) and went to the website with credit card at the ready. I had no idea there were so many different styles! Does anyone out there wear Spanx? Which style to you like? I mostly need them for the butt/thigh area. But, I have such large thighs that most "supportive undergarments" wind up with a tell-tale indentation mid-thigh.

I bought mine at Lane Bryant. I bought the bike short style ones...went up to just under my bra and down to my knees. It worked great to smooth from my tummy down to my knees!! I still have and wear them from just before I had surgery (they are super stretchy!!). I probably could buy a smaller pair now but haven't.
I hate spanx... they hate me too!! They are miserably uncomfortable in my opinion. I prefer the "under the bra panty" that holds the tummy in place. I get mine from Avenue. Good luck!!

The itching is just healing more. Mine aren't itching (banded June 9), but they are flaking with dry skin although none of the other skin around is dry!
I can't stand to wear clothes under my clothes, so I don't bother.
i'm a new follower so i am not sure when you were banded, but i was in feb of this year, oh nevermind i just saw in your profile you were in june lol anyway....my biggest incision itches every other day or so :-)
the spanx that i got were the ones tha go from under the boobs to knees, i think they were called "higher power" :-) just an fyi they sell them in lane bryant as well as most department stores if you want to save on shipping! :-)
I found a great pair of Flexees at the RACK! Very comfy and they don't rise!
I've never worn spanx, but have wondered the same thing!! Oh and just as an FYI, I was banded in March and I still get the occasional itch! :)
I like the bicycle shorts ones that are made out of bathing suit type material. I forget the actual name but they come in nude with pink inside and black with zebra inside - I get them from Nordstroms.
I was going to buy some online but think I'd be better off to go actually try some on - they're too expensive to get wrong. Good luck.
