sad because it's true...

My husband (who is an Atkins man) just announced to me, "I'm losing weight, but it coming off sooooo slowly.  I've lost 19 pounds, but it took 3 months."  To which I replied, "I've lost 19 pounds, too.  But, it took me 5 months...and you didn't have surgery!"

Granted, I lost 10 pounds before surgery, so it's 29 pounds total...but still.  Argh!

First, men lose faster than women. It's just the cold hard truth. Second, it just sucks. LOL! Don't worry...soon you'll be blowing him away.

Men can do that.
I've done Atkins..once he stops following the diet, it will come back with a vengance. Yours is gone forever.

Just add a bunch of sugar to everything you cook him.

MandaPanda is right! It is so much easier for men! My husband can say he is going to lose 10 lbs and they are gone. However ours will stay off! (mine eventually) :)

Its a known fact that men lose weight so much faster than us.. but it still blows. You just be proud of what you've achieved so far. You rock.

Hey, 29 lbs is 29 lbs. And before surgery could you go 5 months without a gain? I know it sucks because there are so many who are losing faster than us. I get discouraged too, but I've still lost more than I have on any diet and I know once I get to my sweet spot, the weight will come off faster. Just gotta get to the right fill amount.
