Last year, many people chose a "word to live by" for the new year. I didn't--and I think I really missed out. So, this year I have chosen my word:
Mind-ful
(having a careful, deliberate manner; aware; attentive; observant)
This is a word that I can apply to my whole life, not just to eating. I want to be mindful of my thoughts and my actions in every aspect of my life. I want to be mindful of how my behaviors affect not just me, but those around me. I want to know that my actions are a result of conscious choice and not just habit. I want to know that I am doing what's right and not just what's easy. I want to be mindful of my life.

(PS Why did I have to choose a word that looks so strange when you type it out.? It almost doesn't look like a word at all! LOL)

It looks like a word! Good one too!
I loved the asian "dumplings" from the cookbook! Gonna do another few recipes next week when Chris is home!
Great word! I think it's a reminder we all could use from time to time.
love that word! 75% of the lap band weight loss process is mental...!
