Hi y'all...

Wow!  It's been awhile, huh?

I guess there just hasn't been much to tell.  I had a small un-fill about a month ago, quickly gained a few lbs and now am holding steady--not losing, but not really gaining either.  I did have to go out and buy some larger clothes as I am officially up a size from my lowest.

Even with the lower saline level in my band, I am still experiencing heartburn on a regular basis--a problem I never had prior to being banded.  Dr. S is concerned that if we don't do something, there might be permanent damage to the esophagus.  In the meantime, I have added one more pill (Prisolec) to my morning routine.

The doc and I have agreed that a sleeve revision is the best option for me at this point.  He's gung-ho and ready to move forward, but we've been on hold until my husband can get a little more comfortable with the whole idea (since the sleeve is not reversible he concerned about what will happen if I have problems with it, too).  So, we're signed up for my surgeon's bariatric seminar next week.  Of course, the hubs will support whatever decision I make, but it's important to me that he is comfortable with the decision as well.

In non-band news, things are groovy.  I've picked up a part-time gig helping my sister-in-law process a backlog of invoices at the Ace Hardware where she is a manager.  It's a temporary thing, but I'm enjoying it--getting out of the house, talking to adults, NOT dealing with customers.  I think I'll be a little sad when it's over.

Speaking of sister-in-laws--mine is legal now!!!  Yep, my sister and her partner (I guess I should call her "wife" now) went to NYC and got married!  I could write a whole post on this alone.  Needless to say, I am thrilled.

Two days after the seminar, Hubs & I are flying out to Arizona to stay at the Sanctuary Spa at Camelback Mountain.  We're planning to do a lot of pool-sitting and reading.  There is a chance of a day-trip to the Grand Canyon, but otherwise we will just be relaxing in the sun.

I'll post again once we have been to the seminar.  Until then...

Cheers!

PS  Almost forgot to tell you about Emma!  We have a new addition to our family--a little girl named Emma.  We are fostering her, so her stay here is only temporary.  She needs some house-training and some leash-training, but is otherwise a very sweet girl!
