comments...

I think I'm a little bit self-absorbed these days.  I read all of your blogs every day.  I think comments in my head.  But, for some reason, I just don't get around to sharing my thoughts and giving words of encouragement.  The sad thing is that I know what a huge difference a simple "way to go" or "don't be discouraged" can make.  I feel like I'm letting you all down.

While I work on this, please know that I am reading your blogs.  I am celebrating with those of you who have had success and cheering on those who are struggling.  I hope that someday soon I'll get this figured out and can be a truly supportive, contributing member of this community again.

I do the same thing - especially because I can't comment at work. I comment in my head and never go back later to leave it.

I used to read everybody's comments that were left on a person's blog and say to myself, "Self, you can't leave anything that hasn't already been said." Or I'd say "Self, you can't say anything more original/supportive/funnier than what has already been said." Now I leave my comment before reading other people's comments so I don't psych myself out to not leave a comment. Shew, I think too much.

What Bonnie said;P (only as you can tell, I still read the other comments. But I have the exact same thoughts about my commenting)

Will need to try the not reading other comments first thing ;)

I do the same, everyone else seems to say it much better than I do!

OK...well, now I'm repeating what 3 other posters said. My comment usually looks something like "I second what everyone else says. good job!" or something equally as lame. LOL. But like you, I know how much I appreciate just a comment to say hi so I think people can even appreciate my lame comments.

What they said. But I'd also say that sometimes it's ok to go quiet. I, for one, know you are still out there and don't question why I may not be hearing from you. Especially since my own life is making it difficult for me to comment (and read) as much as I'd like. When you can, for whatever reasons they may be, you will. And when you can't, I don't think I'm less supported. The warm fuzzies are still in the air....
