I got a call from Ellie @ Aetna last evening. She is my Case Manager for the next 6 months (up to a year if I need her). It's an extra service that my husband's company purchased with their insurance agreement. She deals only with bariatric patients and her role is to be an additional support person/resource for me during this process. We talked about lots of things: details of surgery, nutrition, mental state, what to expect after, making sure I don't forget to take care of myself in other areas (don't forget to floss, remember to see your lady doctor). If I have any questions or concerns or if anything happens to me (bariatric or otherwise) in the next 6 months, she is there to help me work through it. She said she would call me 3 days after surgery to check up and answer any questions that may have come up. I think it's a great service!

That is a great service. The more support the better.
From what my hubby tells me about liquid diets is if you can mow through the tired phase, you'll come out feeling a lot better. It's only temporary. Easier said than done, eh? That's a great service Aetna offers. I had Aetna for my first baby and they have a maternity case manager too. They're pretty cool.
So glad the pre-op is going well. Make sure you still take your vitamins. And if you have been taken off coffee/caffeine (I wasn't) that might be why you are tired. Sleep and rest and get your body ready for the band. Yeah!
Cool!
