I believe it was just yesterday (or maybe the day before) when I commented on another blog about how I felt fortunate that I have escaped the gurgles. I really should learn to keep my mouth shut! My tummy has been gurgling at me all morning. And, I'm still belching (I had hoped it would be one or the other--not both).
In other news, I am pleased with my food choices this past holiday weekend. We went to a friend's lake house for the typical cookout (hamburgers, hotdogs, BBQ chicken, smoked Boston Butt, chips, pasta salad galore, key lime pie, etc). I managed to get by with 1/2 hotdog (no bun), 1/2 kids size hamburger patty (no bun), 5 potato chips and 3 bites of key lime pie. Considering that I don't get my first fill until tomorrow and that I'm working with little/no restriction, I feel pretty good about it. I made sure to chew, chew, chew. And I ate slowly (in fact, I was the last one in our group to finish) so nobody noticed how little I actually ate.
I've lost a whopping .75 lb in the last week (official weigh day is tomorrow AM). So, I really hope the doctor comes through with my 1st fill tomorrow. This is also my 1st checkup after surgery, so I don't really know what to expect. Wish me luck!
Cheers!

I am a new follower! Good luck with your first fill. The first fill really helped me and I am going for my second fill on Monday! YAY!
good luck...and congrats on your AWESOME food choices. :)
that is awesome so early in the game. Gurgling and belching is good-it means you have restriction. You will gain skill at covering your mouth or turning away when a big burp comes along :)...Now I get worried when I don't burp--haha.

You are doing so well. You'll have your fill and be doing even better, if you can image it.
Glad to see you had a fun weekend.
Sounds like you are doing great and are exactly where you should be at this point. Here is hoping for the fill, let's get this show on the road!
