stalled...

Well, it looks like my weight loss has stalled.  I have been sitting at 222 since last Wednesday.  I can't say that I wasn't expecting it, because I was.  I am 3 1/2 weeks from surgery and eating like a "regular" person (almost).  I'm still on soft foods, but that includes things like ground meats, cheeses, and even toast!  Plus, there's a good chance that I'm about 1 week away from TOM.  So, basically I'm just thrilled to be holding steady and not gaining.

I'm still not experiencing the Hell part of Bandster Hell.  But, I will admit that most of my progress the last week or so has been due to pure willpower.  Well, willpower and fear.  I am so scared of doing something to screw up my band (eating too much; eating too fast; eating the wrong thing).  It turns out that, for me, fear is an excellent motivator!

Cheers!

I'm hoping fear will help me get through my bandster hell.

Fear has helped me also. I have lost 18 pounds since surgery and I will get my first fill next wednesday. I notice now that I am hungry about 2-2 1/2 hours after I eat. But I do make good choices when I need to eat.

The hardest part after surgery is waiting for the band to do its work. It will come, and I hope soon. Keep up the good work. And at least the scale isn't going up!

It's hard to stay motivated when it's all you. I think there's a few weeks when you're transitioning back to real food that everyone stalls a little. Not because you're eating so much, but your body is just re-adjusting.
I agree I went a little too fast with food progression in the beginning but fear held me back a lot.

Right there with you, but I've only lost half of what you have!!! Keeping my fingers crossed that my first fill on the 16th actually does something!!

Hang in there, we'll both make it. :)
