progress...
So, I called the Bariatric Call Center today to check on my paperwork. I emailed my documents on Monday and asked for confirmation of receipt. I have not heard anything. I wound up talking to the Scheduling Coordinator who explained that the person to whom I had sent the info has been out all week because her son was in an accident. She asked if I could email it to her and she would make sure it got sent in today. Sure enough, I received an email from her just 5 minutes ago confirming that the documents HAVE BEEN SENT to Aetna. And, so it begins...

Yay for the official wait starting. That sucks that the person who got your paperwork on Monday has been out all week (I hope her son is ok!). Seems like at these bariatric centers that everyone should check everyone's email or something. :) Thankfully you called and were able to send it to someone else!!!
I hope you get a very quick response from Aetna!!! I'm prayin for you!

Good news but it sucks you have to be on them continuously. Do what you have to do to get this ball rolling though right? It's getting closer! I have Aetna and as long was you meet all requirements you will be a go in no time. Good luck.
Hey Lynda - just found your blog. I needed to find out who the other Lynda was. I had Aetna for surgery and was approved in 3 days, so hopefully it will be as quick for you. I did call and harass them at day 2. They were great through the whole thing.
