it's going to be a good day (food porn warning)...

On my schedule for tomorrow...catching up on reading blogs and getting back to posting.  I know that some of you have had surgery in the last few weeks and I've been so wrapped up in my own stuff that I haven't stopped by to see how you're doing.  Hope everyone is enjoying their newly banded lifestyles!  Drop me a line in the comments so I can check on your progress.

I have completed 2 months of my 3-month post surgery regimen.  At my weigh-in yesterday, I was 1.5 pounds up from January.  I was expecting it, so I didn't let it get me down.  I think one of my biggest failures last month (yes, I know I'm supposed to say "challenge" but, let's face it...it was a failure and it's okay to call it what it is) was that I stopped keeping track of my food journal.  As much as I hate to admit it since it's such a pain in the arse...I think the food journaling had a lot to do with my weight loss success for the 1st month.  Last month, sans journaling, I had absolutely no clue what was going in my mouth or how many calories I was consuming.  I couldn't tell you if I ate 6oz or 16oz of meat.  I'm pretty sure I didn't drink more than 24oz of water on any given day.

So...back to journaling today.  I've had 2 cups of coffee w/ half-n-half and 2 strips of bacon AND I WROTE IT DOWN!  It's going to be a good day.

Hi Lynda, today I am 4 weeks post op & down 18lbs - Hubby is down 36lbs (we were banded on the same day). I too believe the journaling is key to my success thus far, hubby believes the same for his loss.
